One of the most popular series of coupe Aston Martin DB4 was first presented at the London exhibition in 1958. One year later, a serial production of these really successful and dynamic vehicles equipped with a 6-cylinder engine producing 240 hp was launched. Elegant (considered one of the most beautiful on the planet) design model was developed by the Italian company Turing. In 1959, the base version was supplemented by a sports version, released in an amount of 75 copies with an engine capacity of 302 hp. The car accelerates to 100 km / h in less than 6 seconds.

Aston Martin DB4 is the first of a long line of pretty much different from each other models. This line includes the indices 4, 5 and 6. That is, those who believe exactly the Aston Martin DB4 beautiful, most likely wrong. However, the differences between these models are only in one little feature: the technical part has been improved all the time. Sometime after, Aston became fast – if dynamics in DB4 GT is correct, then it is worthy of the best supercars of its time. Dynamics is rather similar to the model 1961, which was a 4-speed transmission with a few other, more speed settings. 1959 model had a maximum speed of 235 km/h and zero to hundreds of 6.3-6.4 seconds. In 1961, it was replaced by a version that can be dispersed to hundreds of 5.7-5.8 seconds at the same power and weight, has a top speed of 246 km/h. DB4 models are available in several basic versions. The main was “normal”, saloon, conventionally divided into 5 series (1958, 1960, 1961, late 1961 and 1962), which, in 1961, added more powerful modification of the Vantage (because of which, in fact, there were 4 series).

Since 1959, and until the end of the release in 1963, it was produced in parallel “sports” version of the GT, also received version Vantage GT. Since 1961, there was an outdoor version of “normal” Aston Martin DB4 – DB4 Convertible. DB4 the GT was a little larger than the Aston Martin DB4 and DB4 Vantage (about 5 inches and 60 kg) and had a change of appearance. As for the specifications, then with the same 302-horsepower version of the DB4 Vantage GT 1961 weighing 1326 kg, it had a top speed of 245 km/h acceleration in 6.1 seconds. “Normal” DB4 Vantage – 270 forces, 235 km/h and 6.6 seconds to hundred.
