Rolls Royce 100EX On The Road

Rolls-Royce has officially unveiled its latest long-awaited new Rolls Royce 100ex. The development of the car, completely built from scratch, began with the phrase, once said Sir Henry Royce: “Strive for excellence, strive for it. Take the best that exists and make it better. If there is anything good, think of it.” Following an extended version of the Phantom in the summer of 2007 the factory gates began to emerge new serial convertibles, developed on a shortened 240 mm chassis and armor modifications, capable of withstanding grenade explosion under the bottom (on the protection VR7 class). In 2007, the release of the limited edition rolls royce 100ex was marked the 100th anniversary of the debut of the famous model Silver Ghost.

An important event of the year was the transfer to the buyer the first instance of the Phantom, which was made to order. The new rolls royce 100ex, shown in Geneva back in 2004 is very similar to the concept car 100EX, and has a body with aluminum alloy frame, which has the highest torsional rigidity among similar models. Characteristic features of the body are two doors that open against the move, two-tone hood, LED headlights. The soft top of the multi-layered fabric is completely removed by pressing and provides in the closed position a high level of noise isolation. Suspension of all wheels is an independent, pneumatic, with “active” shock absorbers.

The Phantom Armored, able to protect occupants from bullets, first assembled at the plant in Goodwood, and then retrofitted in the company workshops dealing booking bodies. Protection is provided by a plate made of composite materials, steel and polycarbonate, as well as bullet-proof glass. Rolls Royce 100ex demanded upgraded brakes and suspension, with standard engine power is not increased. In 2009, it is expected to start production of a compact luxury car Rolls-Royce on the BMW 7 Series platform. The company is planning to develop a model with a coupe body.
