The five-seat sedan Chevrolet Corsica went off the assembly line in 1987 and 1996. Chevrolet Corsica was developed based on L-platform. Production of Chevrolet Corsica was established at plants in Wilmington and Lipe. Car Chevrolet Corsica produced in four trim levels: base, LT, LTZ, and XT. In 1988 Chevrolet Corsica ranked second in the United States on demand.

In 1989 Chevrolet Corsica hatchback appears which release was of discontinued in 1991. In the same 1991 Chevrolet Corsica was equipped with an airbag for the driver and the rear lights of the car were upgraded. In 1992 Chevrolet Corsica was only one grade – LT and vehicle mounted automatic transmission with electronic control. In 1996 Chevrolet Corsica was replaced by model Chevrolet Malibu.

Stylish body lines, comfortable and elegant interior with high quality materials, good dynamics driving made this sedan popular, as evidenced by the high level of sales. The car was produced without any changes in appearance and composition of the technical equipment for ten years.

The sedan has dimensions 4660x1727x1371 millimeters, wheelbase is 2627 millimeters. Front lighting consists of two square headlights combined into a single unit closed with protective glass. Under the lights tight turn signals are placed, repeaters turns are arranged on the side of the front wings. On the side surfaces of the body passes decorative strip, at the bottom of the machine a protective kit is installed. There are large parking lights rectangular arranged horizontally.
